This new cabin has all the modern comforts to make your stay enjoyable. Whether relaxing in the hot tub as you take in the views, reading a book, or enjoying the tiled walk-in shower, the cabin is a great place to escape or for easy access to all that Golden has to offer. The natural environment at the cabin presents some hazards including fall from heights, steep embankments, open water and potential for wildlife. This cabin has very steep alternating stairs and is not suitable for children under the age of 10 or those with mobility issues. There is another cabin on the property and there may be other guests on the property during your stay. The cabins are set apart several hundred feet, face in different directions, and both feature private outdoor space that is not visible from the other.

Other Details to Note

Before you book, please note the following: 1. During winter (November to end of April), an all-wheel-drive or 4x4 vehicle with good snow tires is recommended as the driveway is long, steep and often snow covered. 2. The maximum number of guests we can accommodate is 6. There are two queen beds in the cabin, therefore if you bring six guests to stay, some people will be sleeping on the couch or the floor. 3. The interior stairs are "ships stairs" with alternating treads that are very steep (not quite a ladder, but close to that). There are also exterior stairs that are much less steep, however this listing is not appropriate for children under the age of 12, people with mobility challenges, or those who are afraid of heights. 4. There is another cabin on the property and there may be other guests on the property during your stay. The cabins are set apart several hundred feet, face in different directions and both feature private outdoor space that is not visible from the other.

One of the coolest places we have ever stayed. Everything was exactly as advertised. The cabin itself is one of the coolest buildings I’ve ever stayed in, it was perfectly done and provided everything that we needed to ski kicking horse and Roger’s for a week. Will 100% be coming back.

This cabin is brand new and equipped with every modern comfort you could need. The views from the hot tub are unbeatable, and the walk-in shower is absolutely luxurious. It’s a great spot to unplug and read a book, but also close enough to Golden to explore easily. The host, Evan, was exceptional. I expressed the desire to use the firepit and he dug it out from the snow the day before we arrived. <3 Highly Recommended: Clean, stylish, and peaceful. 10/10!

My family and I stayed at the cabin. The cabin honestly has the most beautiful view of the mountains, it was truly so special being able to watch the sunsets from the hot tub. Evan was also a great host, responsive and showed up to the cabin to make sure everything was in working order for us. I highly recommend this place, it was very clean and well situated near the town. We all loved it so much, thank you!

We stayed at Timberhaus with our close friends for a 4 day long weekend and had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful, with incredible views and a very central location, while still feeling incredibly private. The house was the perfect size for 4 adults. Evan was a wonderful host, always providing helpful information and reminders. The only thing we were left wanting was more time! We will be back to book again!

Evan's Airbnb is a delightful cabin with the cutest decor and phenomenal view of Kicking Horse Ski Resort. He was super responsive and proactive with messages about check-in and check-out. The cabin was spotless and really cozy! I'd recommend this to anyone traveling to or through Golden, B.C.

Great place to stay in the Golden area, couple min from downtown and very private and secluded with very fast highway access. The cabin was beautiful and cozy, the bed rooms were adorable. The hot tub had stunning views of the mountains during the day. Perfect place for a peaceful weekend get away. (Also if you’re a ski bum this place would be rad.)
